I love living in Colorado.

It's days like today that clinch it. The sky is blue. The air is warm. So warm that, wearing a short sleeved shirt, yoga pants, and Chacos (of course), I am HOT after taking Libbie for a two mile walk. It's December 7th. There are still a few small patches of snow on the ground from earlier in the week, but it's 63 degrees outside. My neighbors are all out cleaning their yards, cleaning their garages, decorating for Christmas, walking their dogs, and chatting it up.

Yesterday was beautiful, too. And we had free childcare for three and a half hours at Callie's preschool. The purpose of the childcare was to give parents time to shop for Christmas presents. But what did we do? Shop? Forget it. Not in this kind of weather. We hiked through the Blodgett open space and into the the Air Force Academy. We let Libbie run off leash and we all enjoyed the crisp air. In short sleeves. Then we shared a beer and lunch on the patio at Trinity Brewing Company. With a view of Pike's Peak. And our dog lying at our feet. Seriously...I love it.
