Too hot for her.

As we explored Vallarta yesterday afternoon, she looked like this:

When she got really hot she looked like this (really, snow is her favorite weather -- not 82 and sunny):

So we decided to get this to help her cool off (my favorite tropical treat, by the way):

Apparently she didn't like it.

Nor did her sister. I think I'll use this photo to give my students an example of what the facial expression "disgust" looks like. That's always the hardest facial expression to explain, but Callie manages it so well.

Tomorrow morning Scott and I are going to check out two schools where we hope to enroll the girls for the 2010-2011 school year. We'd like to experience a year of immersion in a second language, and what better place than in a little beach town? Sound too good to be true? It might be. We'll let you know...

Yeah, awesome idea with living there a year. We'd love to do similar, but in Germany. It's just so good for the kids and an excellant experience (besides the language-part)! We just don't know how it'd work work-wise...

Yeah, the work part is the hard part to figure out. Scott's job right now would be a good fit for living somewhere remote, as long as he has internet access, but who knows whether that will still be possible a year and a half from now. Maybe we should make it sooner!
