Mother of the Year

Callie: Um, Mama? Some day after school, when you don't have to teach and when we don't have ballet or gymnastics?

Me: Yes? (Thinking she's going to ask to do a big messy craft project.)

Callie: Um, Mama, when we have free time after school someday, could you change my sheets?

Haha, this cracks me up!

Thank you, thank you very much. I'll have you know, she has clean sheets on her bed now. She only had to ask about four times and then, in the end, do most of the work herself. She'll be quite independent someday, though!

Carpenters don't really have to make beds... Or do they?

Build beds, yes. Make beds, no.
